Joplin has been an influential branch of Masonic history in Southwest Missouri
and recently marked its 100th Anniversary in 2004.
The Scottish Rite is

open to any Master Mason who is in good standing and seeks further knowledge
into the craft and further light into the principles that guide every Freemason.
Like all Masonic branches, the Scottish Rite does not discriminate on the basis
of Race or Religion.
Our Cathedral is located at 5th and Byers in Joplin
and stands in testament to the Architecture that existed in the early 20th
century. All visitors are welcome and, with advanced notice, tours of this
magnificent structure are available to individuals and groups. We also
rent our Cathedral for activities that need Meeting space, Dining Hall
